This was kind of crazy lol. It reminded me of The Hangover but it's still its own movie in my opinion. You'd think it's just this raunchy comedy but there is a serious bit in this about growing up and taking accountability of your life. Still trippin off that devil tattoo though lol.

I don't know the direction they're going to take this. The first one was about Miles figuring out how to be Spiderman. This one is about him defining himself as Spiderman. Creating his own path and not the path people set for him. I'm interested in seeing the path he creates for himself and the people around him. Is fate his to control as Spiderman, or does certain things have to happen regardless of what he does?

A man visits their house talking about it while venting about his situation to the dad, who is a therapist. This entity apparently killed the visitor's kids, but no one believes him. After killing the visitor in the home of the father, it then latches itself onto his family. It goes after the kids, slowly making them vulnerable to it. The goal of this thing is to literally suck the life out of anything it decides to terrorize. The kids have to convince their father it's real before they meet the same fate as others. Can't really say much without telling the movie, but the trailer wants you to believe the movie is about people using hypnotics to pull off a bank heist. This is NOT what the movie is really about. There is a huge plot twist. I loved this movie and thought it was one of the best Monday Mystery Movies to date. Movie officially drops in theaters May 12, and I recommend going to check it out. If you're into mind bending type movies, you should definitely go. Search for movie reviews here. This was exactly what I expected it to be, over the top action scenes. This is basically the only reason why you watch this nowadays, but the action scenes were definitely too exaggerated. Dom literally used his car to crash two helicopters and proceeded to use them as weapons to rescue his son. They're practically superheroes at this point, hence all the jokes in YouTube comment sections.
Not sure how I feel about Jason Momoa. His character brought a lot of energy to the movie but the feminine mannerisms kind of through the character off for me. I guess it makes good marketing for today's society so whatever works. The action was definitely over the top, as always, but I still enjoyed it. I wanted to watch this in 4DX but decided not to...maybe next time. Sisu is the Monday Mystery Movie Regal ended up showing on April 17, 2023.
It starts off slow but then picks up in action. It puts you into the mind of John Wick without all the gun fu. It's simple but brutal. Sisu is a Finnish word that apparently can't be translated. But it essentially means strength of will. I thought it was good, but you do need to turn your mind off. This guy (Korpi) survives being hanged, uses someone as a meat shield to block machine gun rounds coming from a tank, and a lot of other things. He wasn't really supposed to survive but that's the point. That's why you have to turn your mind off and enjoy the show. As with a lot of movies, MMM was the only way I was gonna see this. Glad I caught it. I don't consider myself to be a reviewer, but if you want your pick of Sisu reviews then click this link and take your pick from the results. This is actually my first Evil Dead movie. The only other way I know about Evil Dead is through Ash on Dead By Daylight. My sole reason for watching this is because I'm fond of horror movies. If you actually believe in demons, then this movie may be overboard for you. I don't' see too many people going to see this for the horror and walking away unsatisfied. The gore is there. The atmosphere is there. One guy ended up swallowing an eyeball. Don't ask. Kassie is also the smart-dumb lucky kid. Opening the door for her demonic mom was a pretty dumb move. Definitely one of the best horror movies I've seen. I don't think everybody can sit through it. Best seen in theaters! Sean Patrick Flanery did a really good job in this. Oscar Worthy performance.
If you actually believe in Christian theology, then what the "demon" says in this will probably have you pondering. Do demons actually exist? Do demons really influence human behavior? Alot of questions, a lot of introspection. I understand what the movie tries to explain and what people believe. There is a war going on between good and evil, whether you're a willing participant or not. If you follow the movie, demons already know they can't beat God. Apparently, that's not what they're trying to do. The goal isn't to beat god but to separate as many "souls" as possible from God through sinful(rebellious) behavior. Demons believe this causes God to suffer. It definitely causes human to suffer. Imagine the reason why you're here is to enjoy as much as this experience as you can before death takes it away from you. Demons make it their obligation to keep you from doing that, while separating you from God in the process. Lose-lose situation. This is the problem. Why would an all-knowing, all-powerful God create a space where this happens? We're not talking about God saving your soul, we're talking about God saving your humanity. Why do demons, who are allegedly fallen angels exist in the first place? Because apparently, there is a war going on between God and the Devil, and human beings are simply caught up in the middle. The best way to save a person from danger, is for danger to not exist in the first place. This is obviously impossible. This movie was actually really good, but this is also a serious issue amongst us. Is any of this real beyond just believing it? Or is this real because our mind simply believes it to be real? Our minds may never truly know but be sure to appreciate this movie!
